Early Childhood Education Advocates, Inc.

Early Childhood Education Advocates, Inc. (ECEA) is the New Jersey Child Care Association’s (NJCCA) related entity that is engaged in lobbying to aid and promote legislation that affects the child care industry in the state. ECEA is managed by officers, while a representative Board of Trustees, comprised of leaders in the child care industry, is responsible for directing its activities.

Since its formation, ECEA has been instrumental in promoting good relations between elected officials and the child care industry in New Jersey. Through ECEA, NJCCA members are able to learn about the ideas and opinions of industry leaders and political candidates on a number of issues which may affect their businesses. ECEA will communicate industry's views on important issues to candidates for public office.

Legislators, opinion makers, and political leaders cannot evaluate the impact of every piece of legislation and regulation will have on the child care industry unless the industry shares with them our views, and our unique knowledge, and expertise on the issues. This kind of communication and political action helps to further the cause of "good government” and a strong free enterprise system among the more than 4,165 child care centers in New Jersey.
